The Challenge

A regional 3PL operator managing 8,000+ active shipments daily had no real-time visibility into delivery exceptions until customers complained. Their legacy tracking system polled carrier APIs every 6 hours, resulting in 14–18 hour delays in exception detection. Missed delivery exceptions cost £2.1M annually in SLA penalties and customer churn.

The Solution

TECHTIMIZE built a real-time event streaming platform on AWS Kinesis ingesting 500K+ tracking events daily from 12 carrier APIs. A scikit-learn gradient-boosting model (deployed on SageMaker) predicts delivery exceptions 6–12 hours in advance based on weather, route, carrier performance, and historical delivery patterns. An operations dashboard built in React gives dispatchers real-time exception alerts with AI-generated resolution recommendations.
